BEYOND START-UPS AND CORPORATES: CHOOSING YOUR CAREER PATH

This seminar explores the different types of organizations that shape today’s professional landscape, going beyond the traditional choice between start-ups and large corporations. The course provides students with a practical framework to understand the full spectrum of career paths available, including scale-ups, digital platforms, multinational corporations, SMEs, and ecosystem-driven companies.
The seminar examines how these different business models operate, how they generate value, and how roles, responsibilities, and growth opportunities vary across them. Students will gain insight into how factors such as company stage, industry, geography, and business model impact career development and learning opportunities.
A key focus of the seminar is helping students align their personal skills, interests, and risk profiles with the most suitable type of organization. Through real-world examples and practical discussions, students will better understand what to expect from each environment and how to make more informed career decisions.
By the end of the seminar, students will have a clearer perspective on the professional paths available to them and a structured approach to evaluating which type of company best fits their goals.
