
20 Oct ATTENTION & ENERGY MASTERY: OPTIMIZE YOUR TIME
This seminar will explore why we constantly feel short of time and frustrated and will provide insights and techniques to manage our resources and regain control. We will reflect on our current and future use of some of the technologies that consume a significant amount of our time, such as social media and email. In addition to that, we will learn how to procrastinate less and plan our lives in a way that allow us to feel fulfilled and aligned with our goals, while balancing multiple responsibilities.
STEPHANIE REINA
Stephanie Reina graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S.E. in Bioengineering from Arizona State University (USA). She also has an MBA from IE Business School (Spain) and an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology with Distinction from the University of East London (UK). She was a Fulbright scholar to Spain while pursuing her first graduate degree. Stephanie has been teaching at IE University since 2015. She teaches Applied Business Math, Math for Management, and electives, advanced seminars, and workshops in the Human Resources area and through the IE Center for Health and Well-being. Past such courses include: Positive Organizational Behavior, Kindness, Empathy, and Compassion; and High-Performance Attention. Current courses include: Self-transformation, Well-being in Practice, Attention Management for Learning, and Imagining Your Best Future Self.
Stephanie’s master’s thesis focused on exploring the work values of Millennials and the relationship between meaning and job satisfaction. She presented her research at the 10th European Conference on Positive Psychology in 2022 in Reykjavik, Iceland and at the 5th Spanish Positive Psychology Congress in 2022 in Bilbao, Spain. She is interested in the applications of the principles of positive psychology to organizational behavior, parenting, and the use of social media. Additionally, Stephanie has served as a digital well-being ambassador for the Digital Wellbeing Institute, organizing a local Digital Wellness Day event at IE in May 2023. She also collaborates with the NGO Turning Life On, which advocates for delaying the age at which children receive their first smartphone to at least 14, through talks in her local community and schools. Furthermore, she delivered a TEDx Talk in Lisbon in September 2023 titled “Social Media Isn’t Social, It’s Just Media”.Stephanie is an active member of the Sociedad Española de Psicología Positiva. In 2021 she volunteered with the non-profit Life Vest Inside to be group leader for Dance for Kindness, a flash mob held at IE to promote kindness. In 2023, she participated as a volunteer in the World Happiness Summit held in Como, Italy. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, studying, exercising, traveling, and salsa dancing. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian and conversant in French.
