BIOMIMICRY: A STRATEGIC SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION INSPIRED BY NATURE

This particular Adanced Seminars will cover a disruptive way of thinking which it will open the professional solution spaces to new dimensions. This unique Biomimicry Advanced Seminar is a rare opportunity to connect transversally your field whatever the sector with sustainable and regenerative strategies from nature, tested over 3.8 billion years. The limited number of attendants will give us the chance for an intimate setting allowing a very personalized feedback. Understanding the nature´s design principles will catalyze a new Era of business to create a regenerative culture beyond a sustainable world.

Biomimicry is innovation inspired by nature and it represents a nature-inspired approach that it emulates functional strategies from the living ecosystems. Traditional product or service design and innovation, usually consists either in improving existing ones in terms of resource consumption, waste management, and impact on the environment, or trying to imitate natural materials using standard methods.

Living systems, from cells to ecosystems, are open self-organizing systems, in interaction with their environment, have the capacity to arise through a circular process in which they self-create not only new materials that last or aligned with natural cycles, but also to do not harm the ecosystems which all the economy depends on.

Biomimicry is a regular subject in several US universities where postgraduate and doctoral programs are already offered.
