04 Nov CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE IN A GLOBAL WORLD: ENHANCING CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN A GLOBAL WORLD
In today’s global world, crossing borders has become an almost mundane activity. However, communicating accurately and effectively across those same borders is less intuitive and more complicated than the physical movement of people and goods. However, in order to be an effective communicator and team player one needs not only a high IQ and EQ (emotional intelligence), but also CQ (cultural intelligence).
In this course we will unpack the different elements of cultural intelligence by using real-life examples from around the business capitals of the world: Mumbai, Tokyo, Shanghai, London, New York and beyond. In addition to covering the main theoretical concepts in cross-cultural communication theory, we will undertake a series of hands-on, team-based, exercises, leveraging the international profile of IE to help us gain insights and intercultural competence.
