04 Nov DIGITAL WELL-BEING: THRIVING IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Technology has fundamentally transformed the way we live, work, and come together as individuals, organisations and societies. While the advances of the past 20 years have brought about undeniable benefits, such as improved
access to information and the connecting of global communities, they also present significant challenges. A key question that emerges in this context is how individuals and societies can find a balance that allows them to leverage
the opportunities of the digital age without compromising mental and physical health, quality social interactions, and work productivity.
This course delves into the intersection of technology and human welfare, focusing on how digital tools can be harnessed to enrich our lives rather than undermine them. Through interactive sessions, self-reflection, reading materials and practical exercises, the goal of the course is to equip participants with the tools and techniques to navigate the complexities and challenges of the digital age effectively and thrive in a world increasingly dominated by technology.
Standing at the crossroads of unprecedented technological opportunities, we need to think critically and intentionally about how to engage with these advancements in a meaningful and human-centred way. Digital Well-being is about navigating the digital world positively and effectively, ensuring that technology enhances rather than detracts from our quality of life. In that way, Digital Well-being doesn’t just serve the fulfilment of our personal goals and values in the context of our connected lives, but also contributes positively to our collective wellbeing, as well as organisational and societal resilience.
