04 Nov SPORTS PERFORMANCE NUTRITION & OPTIMIZATION
The physical and psychological demands to which athletes are subjected mean that the smallest detail linked to health and recovery make a significant difference to performance.
High-performance sport also generates a context that is linked to the evolutionary process of homo sapiens through high physical and psychologicaldemands.
The need to survive in the past required important adaptations to contexts of high psychological demand in which muscular activity played a fundamental role.
The musculoskeletal system helped to shape the communication pathways between the major systems of the organism: brain, immune system and metabolism. All this in favor of a key process both for survival in the past, and today, for sporting success: the decision-making process.
