04 Nov Tech Entrepreneurship in Asia:Lessons from South Korea’s Miracle on the Han River
In this course, students will understand how the critical role that diversified conglomerates – Chaebols- play in Korean society. We will look at examples, and students will understand how the Korean business sees itself and how it is usually managed.
Part of the powerful performance of the Chaebols is down to having unique and strong corporate cultures. During this course, we will study and understand where how it works through a historical review of Korean companies and their management practices and the best practices to work with them. .
ROGER ROYO
With over eight years of experience in Korea, I lead the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ESCCK) as its President, where I facilitate business opportunities and collaborations between Spanish and Korean companies. I also hold a PhD in Digital Innovation from KAIST, one of the world’s top research universities, and conduct cutting-edge research on how innovation affects startup ecosystems and business models.
In addition, I am an Assistant Professor and the Head of the Startup Center at SolBridge International School of Business, where I teach and mentor the next generation of global leaders and entrepreneurs. I am passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to create positive impact across various industries and sectors. I welcome new challenges and projects that allow me to think creatively and strategically.
