THE FUTURE OF WORK AND OUR WORKPLACE

The type of work, roles , responsibility and work environment are changing fast and require an ever changing skill set. This seminar will transversally touch upon several areas: HR, Careers, Innovation, Culture, Diversity and Tech challenges. We will discuss the jobs of the future and the ones that will disappear. Furthermore, we will analyze the paradigm shift caused by the COVID 19 and its impact on the world of work: AI and robots, remote working revolution, virtual teams,etc. We will also discuss the impact and driving force of diversity and the new skill set of the “ideal 2030 manager”. Finally, we will explore future career and business opportunities in Innovation, Digitalization and Sustainability.

WIM ZWAENEPOEL

Wim Zwaenepoel is a Business consultant, cross-cultural specialist, corporate trainer and lecturer at Universities and B-schools. At IE he collaborates with the BBA (cross-cultural and diversity workshops and head mentor of the mentoring program) and the IMBA (general advisor)

Skills

1.The student will be challenged to get out their comfort zone and to refocus, if needed.
2. The student will become acquainted with key sectors that are growing and emerging.
3.The student will learn about the skills that will matter in 2030 and how to leverage upon diversity.
4. The student will be pushed to think about the benefits and the dark side of technology, about the societal and corporate challenges of sustainability and, also, about what is in there for them
